What are the key points against Mass Immigration?

Mass immigration destroys the quality of life of the existing population. It is particularly disastrous in major capital cities, such as Sydney and Melbourne, because that's where most migrants go to in order to join their ethnic communities, and in the worst cases cause enclaves and ghettos. Negatives include: Stagnant or falling wages Unaffordable housing Less job opportunities Humiliating commute times and overcrowding on public transport Less business investment in education and training Lower productivity, as business can import cheaper wages rather than addressing productivity Increased tax burden for infrastructure and welfare Lower native fertility as couples both have to work and more expensive to raise children Loss of social trust and cohesion from diversity/multiculturalism Increased crime, welfare and social service burden Discrimination against native population in order to facilitate assimilated migrants Degradation of communities Loss of public an...

Who are the shills for Big Australia?

The shills for Big Australia all have vested business interests which they do not disclose, because that would give the game away. Propaganda tactics Just a few of the shill's tactics, there are many more which consist mostly of omission: Aging population. This myth is their 'big gun', but is also the most easily shot down: migrants age too. Many countries, especially East Asian already have lower birth rates than Australia, and even when people with higher birth rates come here, their birth rate lowers. More people just means more people aging. Skills shortage: this is complete bullshit. More skilled graduates than ever can't find jobs and the underutilisation rate is persistently high. Even if there was a skills shortage for any period of time, this would indicate a need for more focus on education and training, not migration. Only talk about aggregate/headline GDP, rather than GDP per capita Talk fatalistically about the inevitability of 'Big Australia'...

Why are Australia's immigration levels so high when they are disadvantageous to the existing population?

Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels wrote*: The ideas of the ruling class are, in any age, the ruling ideas This is an obvious idea when you think about it. However, it is easily lost on those who do not realise who the ruling class is, or who significantly mischaracterise them. Of course, there is no 'ruling class' that can easily be identified as in the days of royalty. In modern democracies the 'ruling class' is a loose-knit conglomerate who exercise their power through the the mass media and finance (party donations, investment decisions, kickbacks, etc.). The ruling class of Australia are pro-mass immigration. Anyone who supports the ideology that supports mass immigration are pro-ruling class. This includes those who identify as 'Far Left'**. The various elite benefit through mass immigration in several ways: Governments : more people means more taxes, which makes the revenue side of the budget look good (the liability side is ignored). Governments can als...
