Nietzsche too was an escapist

he's was an escapist - worse than most he criticises for the same. like an ascetic, he threw himself into his writing to escape the world.  his personal life was pathetic, but he tries to boost his ego by transforming himself into an intellectual legend and shitting on others. he was full of resentment! he fails to see his aesthetic imaginations and emotions generally as escape behaviour (interestingly, Sartre doesn't make the same mistake).  his enthusiasm is not convincing at all.  he was a loser.  but being a loser, he also knew what losers were like, so his critique is insightful.

Journalism is crypto-defamation

Not every news article is defamation, of course, but the most of the popular articles shared by politically-engaged people are. The defamation is not blatant enough to risk legal action, which is exactly the point. Journalist are part of new priesthood who control the public ideology in subservience to the elite.

Psychological context-switching: internalising and externalising

Stoic insights into psychology are fascinating, consoling and empowering. But no one can internalise (make exclusively self-referential) goals, judgements and actions all the time. Why? Because we often don't have time to reflect, or haven't trained ourselves to reflect, when going about many of our daily actions. Although we have the power of reflection, we are still animals who run on auto-pilot. Daily meditation is one way of overcoming our reflexive nature. That said, externalising is not necessarily bad. It is a practical and strategic way of dealing with the world and getting what you want. It is only bad when you don't realise it is only a strategy, and certain things within that strategy are not in your own control. Rather than try to achieve the impossible, i.e. always internalise rather than externalise, we might consider training ourselves to better realise and react to when our externalising has gone too far and has lead to, or is like to lead to, negative...

My political ideology: Ethnic communitarian teleology

It is a bit of wanky name, but I'm trying to keep it short, but still with a depth of meaning. (I reserve the right to change it later!) You can safely assume several things from the name. You can also hyphenate parts or all of it, e.g.: ethnic-communitarian teleology or ethnic communitarian-teleolog Ethnic Ethnicity binds a people. The ethnicity I am subjectively concerned about is European/Western people. This does not necessarily exclude non-Caucasian people, though it is far more likely to include people who look somewhat similar. Communitarian Man is by nature a political animal. Everything must be geared toward serving the community. Service is rewarded with social status. A nation is not soil, it is blood. A nation is not an economy, it is a culture. A nation is biology. And demography is destiny. Teleology Teleology seems a powerful and necessary part of a political ideology. Conservatism's lack of teleology (other than a vain nostalgia for former days) i...

Anti-Boomerism

Anti-Boomerism is justified, but in their defence they were very low information growing up -- due to the concentration of media, lack of Internet, etc. No one really hates Boomers though. Some of my best parents are boomers :P The following applies to #notallboomers - so don't take it personally. The point of targeting Boomers is to knock them out of their complacency. It is to isolate and criticise their worldview, which many people think is out-dated and unable to deal with the challenges and political paradigms of today*. The Boomers grew up in a homogeneous, patriotic society when immigration was low and assimilation was valued and worked. They had a real sense of community and benefited greatly from the sacrifice of their parents and grandparents. They had job security. They may have had high interests rates at time, smaller houses shared by several siblings, and less consumer goods growing up, but these complaints are petty: it is next to impossible for ...

Jordan Peterson

What's this guy's formula? - adopt a gaunt, affected manner - refuse to humour transvestites and basic bitch anti-SJWism to gain notoriety/popularity - pander to the group identity of Christians - facilitate the feigning of intellectuality amongst audience by spouting incoherent Jungian psychobabble and existential philosophy - rehash some tired 'personal development' themes Clean your room and don't forget to buy the book,  Bucko.
